Synchronar MK1 REMAKE · Behind the Build: Structure, Features, and What’s Next

Over the past weeks, we’ve been refining every layer of the Synchronar MK1 — from the case geometry and display performance to the upgraded bracelet, durability, packaging, and the complete movement logic.

This update offers a brief overview of where the MK1 stands and how close we are to the first production-ready prototype.
For those who want to explore the details — including structural evolution, finalized functions, and before/after engineering comparisons — the full breakdown is available in the sections below

MK1 Remake Delivery Begins

The MK1 Remake officially enters the delivery phase.

From concept to engineering, from prototype to production —

Half a century after the original, the legend continues its journey

Core Feature

01

Time Mode

A clean, minimal display with a bold digital readout.

Support for

12/24-hour format

raise-to-wake

button-wake

paired with a

subtle breathing light indicator

— keeping the retro interaction feeling intact

02

Date Mode

Simple and readable, offering both MM-DD and DD-MM formats.

Just enough flexibility without breaking the original MK1’s straightforward logic.

03

Custom Text Mode

One of the signature elements of the remake.

You can cycle through three built-in phrases:

  • RETURN 1970
  • DON’T PANIC
  • SYNCHRONAR 2025

This mode exists purely to celebrate the roots of the MK1 — from the era it came from to the stories that inspired it.

04

Stopwatch

A precise and dependable stopwatch capable of counting up to 99:99:99.

Auto-stop is implemented to prevent unnecessary battery drain, staying true to the MK1’s efficiency-first philosophy

05

Temperature Mode

Temperature measurement activates only on demand — conserving power while staying functional.

The screen displays a reading status (“--”), the breathing light pulses, and the watch beeps when the measurement is complete.

Switch between °C and °F at any time

06

Font Switching

Two display styles that define the look of the MK1 Remake:

  • OLED digits(modern, sharp)
  • LED-styled digits(retro segmented aesthetic)

A small feature, but a huge part of the personality.

07

Dual Time Zone

Quick access to two different time zones, ideal for travel or working across regions.

Simple, practical, not over-designed.

08

Alarm System

Three independent alarms, snooze, and hourly chime control.

Turning off the hourly chime also silences all button sounds, giving you full control over the MK1’s presence.

Alarms activate the breathing light for an iconic visual cue.

09

Breathing Light Indicator

A subtle but iconic detail unique to digital watches of this lineage.

It acts as an alert, a status indicator, and a touch of personality running through the entire device.

Package Design Philosophy

The MK1 packaging follows the same principles as the watch itself — clean, functional, and intentional.

No excess, no decoration.

Just a protective shell and a secure inner tray shaped by the quiet industrial spirit of 1970s digital tools.

It presents the MK1 not as an accessory, but as a piece of engineering

What Else Do We Improve

The MK1 didn’t change in one big leap — it improved through dozens of small, precise adjustments

Final Thoughts

Thank You for Being Part of the MK1 REMAKE

Your feedback, patience, and support shaped the MK1 into what it is today.

We built this watch with intention — not to chase trends,

but to revive a quiet piece of digital engineering with modern care.

Don’t panic, and enjoy the MK1.

A Little Extra for the Galaxy-Guide Fans

Since the MK1 Remake was born from the same retro-future spirit,

we made a small companion piece — the 42 Ring, designed to match the theme and the universe that inspired this project.

Nothing serious, nothing commercial — just a fun little artifact for those who enjoy the same references we do.

If you’re curious, feel free to take a look.

Don’t panic.
